No.3 Bangsawan has a unique story: since it was built, the house has had two owners, and both engaged Syncscape to design and landscape the property.

With the house built to maximise land use, there was no room for a traditional garden. Our solution was to create a large planter at the car porch, forming a natural privacy screen, and to bring greenery upward through the open terraces on levels 2 and 3, letting the windows open up to green views instead.

The photos trace this evolution: the car porch starting as an empty space, the construction of the planter, its first fully planted version, and its later reconfiguration to a smaller footprint with a built-in bench for putting on shoes before heading out. On level 2, you'll see the shift from the original planting scheme to today's much lusher, greener open terrace. The rooftop garden has kept its footprint since the first owner, but the photos capture its transformation from a bare space to a full Mediterranean-style garden in bloom.

This project stands out for us: it gave us two chances to bring biophilic design into the same home across a change in ownership, and each round pushed us to turn an otherwise character-less terrace house into something with a true identity of its own.
